Meter & Parking Space Reservation Placards

Parking placards will be provided and are based on the number of vehicles that will need to park in the reserved spaces. Vehicles without the proper City- issued placards may be subject to citation. The number of placards cannot exceed the total number of spaces reserved. Large units not bearing a license plate (i.e. storage bins, portable wash facilities) do not require display of a parking placard. Placards must be displayed on the driver’s side dashboard of each vehicle, with identifying information facing up and not cover ing the vehicle VIN. Permits will not be issued until payment of invoice is received prior to the reservation start date.

Special Event / Film Permit (Purpose of Use)

Please provide details of the use of reserved spaces. Note that food trucks may not reserve on-street parking under the restrictions of SCC 5.68.430, unless approved in conjunction with a Special Event Permit. Reserved spaces for the use of bus loading and/or unloading of passengers, should ensure that the spaces reserved are in the traffic direction to allow passengers to safely load/unload onto the sidewalk. Reservations for valet use require a valid Valet Permit.

Construction (Purpose of Use)

Note that reservations for Construction Use are for commercial licensed vehicles and large equipment only. Permits issued for such reservations are for limited use at a specific construction zone location. The use of reserved parking for non-commercial vehicles or vehicles only carrying small work equipment or hand tools is discouraged, to insure maximum public use of the street. Meter Reservation permits cannot be issued to provide employee parking for construction projects
