The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the community’s input on our Military Equipment Use Policy. The draft policy was presented to Law and Legislation on March 29th. Attached is the current working draft of the policy. The ordinance is required by Assembly Bill 481 and codified at Government Code sections 7070 through 7075 requiring a law enforcement agency to obtain approval from the applicable governing body, via adoption of a “military equipment” use policy by ordinance.
